SPT High Flow Air Intake System: Fits 05 + Legacy GT, Outback XT. 04 + WRX STi. 02+ WRX. Will fit 04+ Forester XT and Baja turbo with slight modification (warranty coverage does not apply to Forester or Baja models, use at your own risk).

The SPT High Flow Air Intake  is constructed of 319 diecast aluminum, manufactured to ensure the smoothest high flowing bends. Each system includes a silicone reinforced boot,anit-vibration mounting system, stainless steel t-bolt clamps, and a SPT 4-layer cotton gauze filter with a built-in velocity stack for smooth air flow. The intake is coated in a new gunmetal grey-textured powder-coat finish. Installation of High Flow Intake System will result in increased turbocharger and diverter valve air flow sounds during operation. This condition is indicative of normal operation.

SPT Heat Shield:

The SPT Heat Shield helps ensure that the SPT Intake is able to supply the engine with cool air, which reduces the loss of power that comes from a heated intake charge. Cooler air is drawn from inside the passenger front wheel well and behind the headlight - not from the hotter areas surrounding the turbocharger, engine, and radiator. Unlike a traditional cold-air intake, which places the filter element as low as possible in the vehicle, this setup helps supply cool air, limiting the risks of water ingestion.

SPT Air Filters come pre-oiled from the factory to prevent over oiling and fouling of Mass Air Flow sensor. Filter replacement is recommended every 30,000 miles, or 15,000 miles under extremely dusty conditions.

Large diameter, 3-inch stainless steel construction replaces stock intermediate pipe and muffler, resulting in enhanced exhaust sound and performance. Muffler and piping is polished and the tip is angle cut with an embossed SPT logo. Manufactured for Subaru of America by Bosal.
